Born in 1979 in Vimercate (MI), Marco Perego works in Los Angeles and lives with his wife and their three children. The artist has a profound interest in the search for new kinds of transformation and transcendence. His body of work addresses the turbulent times we live in, and aims to start a conversation about the incessant change of the world around and within us. Perego's work has been shown internationally at Michele Maccarone Gallery in New York, Museum of Modern Art in Bologna, National Archaeological Museum in Florence, Rennie Museum in Vancouver, The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, and Untilthen in Paris. Perego's works are present in the public collections of Jumex in Mexico City, Rennie Museum in Vancouver, Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, and the Pinault Collection in Paris. Perego recently completed writing and directing his first feature film, The Absence of Eden, starring Zoe Saldana, Garret Hedlund and Adria Arjona, and produced by Martin Scorsese. The artist is currently showing at the 2024 Venice Biennale as part of the Vatican Pavilion. In 2025, an installation of his work will be presented at The Capsule of Centre Pompidou–Metz.
